Let’s take you back

… to where it all began. The foundations for the Heimspitze were laid by Josef and Elisabeth Thöny. In 1930, they welcomed the first guests to Gargellen and the Heimspitze Inn. It was simple accommodation. Boasting heartfelt

hospitality, charm and good food. Elisabeth introduced fresh, culinary ideas to Gargellen. Cultivating its reputation as one of the best stays in the village. The potato salad served with Wiener Schnitzel on Mondays is still prepared today according to her original recipe.

The hotel comes to life

Kurt & Waltraud Thöny made their dream of their hotel come true in the 1960s. Whilst raising three children Angelika, Christian and Johannes, they transformed the small Heimspitze Inn into a boutique 4-star-hotel. Their reputation as

leaders in the industry demonstrated by their innovative approach helped pioneer the tourism industry of Gargellen and the high-quality gastronomy of the region.

The next generation

Many of the traditions were continued by third-generation family member Christian, supported by his parents. However, Christian understood the need for subtle modern features to be introduced to many of the hotel spaces to keep abreast with the times.

and now

Into its fourth generation, now it is Amélie’s turn to take care of your holiday experience at the Heimspitze. Her sophistication and energetic personality are a breath of fresh air. Following in her grandmother's footsteps. Upholding the traditions

and values is of great importance to her. Amelie is instrumental in the smooth running of the hotel to create unforgettable experiences for guests.

The way to the future
