The Alpenhotel Heimspitze in the Montafon is a fourth-generation family business. Dedicated to the well-being of our guests. We take care of your holiday needs with commitment and enthusiasm.

Amélie & Paul

Amelie’s motto is “I know my roots and foster them. Nonetheless, I always keep my eyes and mind open for news and innovations.” Since her childhood, it became clear that her future lay in Gargellen and the Heimspitze. She now follows in the

footsteps of her beloved grandmother as the passionate host of the Heimspitze. Amelie is often accompanied by Paul, her four-legged shadow and furry friend. Famous throughout Gargellen.

Waltraud and Kurt

The Heimspitze has been a family business for four generations. Founders Josef and Elisabeth Thöny handed over the business to their son Kurt and his wife Waltraud. Who, over 40 years, have grown it from an inn to a boutique hotel. Waltraud Thoeny has

been the face of the hotel and a major influence in the hotel's unique style, warm ambience, exceptional service and excellence in their culinary offerings. With passion in her heart, she has created a legacy that continues today.

Thöny family

Meet third-generation family members, Christian Thoeny and Angelika Kraemer. Christian is responsible for the traditional “Schnitzeltag” every Monday. When one of the best-known dishes of Austrian cuisine, the Wiener schnitzel, is the dish

of the day. Furthermore, he is the go-to person to find out about the weather, avalanche and snow situation or a suitable hiking tour. In the winter season, Angelika lends a hand in all areas of the hotel in her warm and genuine manner. Together they are the foundation and heart piece of the Heimspitze.
